<description>This talk will take a look at what's been happening in the GStreamer multimedia framework as of late and what shiny new features you can expect to land in the near future. It will be fairly high-level and is targeted at both application developers and anyone interested in multimedia on Linux and elsewhere. GStreamer is a highly versatile plugin-based multimedia framework that caters to a whole range of multimedia needs, whether desktop applications, streaming servers or multimedia middleware; embedded systems, desktops, or server farms. It is also cross-platform and works on Linux, *BSD, OS/X, Windows, iOS and Android. Whether WebRTC, RTP, RTSP, SRT or RTMP, decoding or encoding, streaming or recording, we have it all! Join us to find out what's new! Speaker: Tim-Philipp Müller, Track: Open Media, Room: H.1309 (Van Rijn), When: Saturday 3 February 2018, 13:00–13:25 (Brussels time), Schedule: FOSDEM 2018 event page, Licence: Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 Belgium (CC BY 2.0 BE) (as stated in the FOSDEM video archive).
